I don't normally shop at Madewell. We don't have one nearby, so I often forget about it. But when I was in Atlanta over the holidays, I popped in to see what they had and I stumbled across this amazing dress!
Everything is on point with this dress, from the cut to the materials to the colors it comes in! The cut is absolutely effortlessly flattering. It nips in at the waist just enough and the v-neck plunges to the perfect point (appropriate for work or play).
I don't normally like sleeveless (I have this weird hatred of my upper arms and that little bit of fat between your chest and your arm lol) but again, the cut is perfect - just wide enough and sits at the right spot to flatter anyone.
As if it couldn't get any better, the material is that thick high quality ponte fabric I love for traveling (and daily life in general). It doesn't wrinkle nor does it show pet hair or stains (small stains of course).
I love that you could style this dress with a baseball cap and sneakers, oxfords and a cardigan, or sandals and a statement necklace. It would also look great layered for cooler weather.
When I stumble across a dress like this - timeless, effortless, and something I can dress up or down in so many ways - I pounce! I already used the last of my Christmas money to buy the navy striped version, but for my birthday I am treating myself to the navy and red!
