Apartment Therapy: Finishing Touches

A couple weeks ago, I shared my living room transformation, which centered on my new couch and bookshelves.

Since then, I've been focused on the rest of the room, searching for just the right finishing touches to bring the entire room together.

I knew I wanted a clear acrylic tray for my ottoman (which, thanks to a Rooms To Go special, was basically free with the sofa!). I found this amazing square tray on Etsy at Libbie & Winston. I love the way the pattern echoes the carpet. Plus, unlike other acrylic trays, the pattern isn't simply a laminated paper insert. It is inside the acrylic finish. The quality of this tray is even better than I expected!

I wanted to keep the tray free of clutter, so I just added a mason jar, that I spray painted gold, with a silk hydrangea from Michaels, and this great candle I found at Marshalls for 5 bucks!

The rugs I scored at Target (the matching smaller version is by my front door). Such a great deal and I think they look super chic (I might get one more for my desk area)!

Finally, I knew I needed to do something on the wall opposite the bookshelves, where my TV is. The bookshelves definitely dominate the room, so I wanted something to balance them. I decided to create a gallery wall above the TV. I still want to replace my old TV stand with this Ikea one (spray painted gold, of course), but I need to pace myself lol.

The quote prints are Amanda Catherine Designs
and the ginger jar prints are Driftwood Interiors

I really like the way this wall came out (ignore the over-sized cat tower)! There are so many beautiful prints on Etsy, it was really hard to decide. But I finally committed, and I love the results!

Hunting for prints on Etsy has become one of my favorite pastimes lol. Here is a list of my favorite print stores:
Libbie & Winston
M. Kat Safar
Elm Street Studio Printables
Printable Wisdom
LuLuSimon Studio
The Preppy Greek
